There.Remaning
there. remaining. is an evening-length dance-theater piece created by Oge Ude ’16 with original music composed by Vince Di Mura. Emerging from W.E.B. Du Bois’s seminal work, The Souls of Black Folk, there. remaining. explores Du Bois’s theory of double consciousness as a racial and mental phenomenon. Created in collaboration with six performers, the piece involves text, movement, music, and projections to question the ways we see ourselves and come to understand our often conflicting identities.
